The impact Girls on the Run makes is dependent on dedicated volunteers like you, who are committed and passionate about our mission and vision.
Coaches are the heart of our program! Each season, two or more volunteer coaches inspire and guide a team through our tried-and-true curriculum. If you're ready to directly make an impact, then this role is for you.
Additional Volunteer Opportunities
Our end of season 5K provides a tangible sense of accomplishment to participants. To celebrate and make the experience one to remember, there are many opportunities to get involved.
Want to volunteer, but can't commit to a full season of coaching? Join Girls on the Run of Northern Arizona (GOTRNA) Pacesetters! GOTRNA Pacesetters are a dynamic group of volunteers who "set the pace" by supporting our program in various ways. Whether you have a few hours or a flexible schedule, you can make an impact!
Pacesetter Roles Include:
Help ensure our program is running smoothly by visiting practice sites to offer encouragement, provide feedback, and support coaches.
Deliver essential program items, such as running shoes, t-shirts, and sports bras, to participating schools.

Assist in executing major GOTRNA events, including the 5K Celebrations and our annual Galentine's Day fundraiser. Tasks include setup, teardown, water stations, cheer zones, sponsorship recruitment.
Not all Pacesetters do every task; you choose roles that align with your unique talents and availability. Training and support are provided by GOTRNA staff as needed. To get a better idea of how you can plug in, check out our regularly updated calendar of activities.
